Libya: Ghanaian, Nigerian migrants, 90 others arrested in separate police raids

Three migrants of Ghanaian and Nigerian nationalities and 90 others have been arrested in separate raids by the police in Libya.

According to Migrant Rescue Watch “Police in response to citizen’s report arrested in Al-Khums 3 undocumented #migrants of Ghanaian and Nigerian nationalities responsible break and enter and theft from a farm. The accused remain in custody pending referral to public prosecution.”

In another raid, Migrant Rescue Watch said “Police in Sabratha carried out raid on human smugglers’ den and apprehended 90 #migrants including women and children of different nationalities readying for boat crossing. All transferred to Sabratha Security Directorate pending DCIM notification.”
