Seebrüecke, others, to hit the streets over tightening of asylum regulations
Seebrüecke International, and other organizations and group are set to hit the streets over tightening of asylum regulations.
Announcing the plan, Seebrüecke International said: “We will remain loud and take to the streets together with other organisations and groups in many cities. After last weekend’s actions in Giessen, Bremen, Hamburg, Constance, Leipzig and Lüneburg, further actions are planned in Paderborn and Marburg.
“We are taking our anger against the tightening of asylum regulations and the so-called “security package” to the streets!
“The border closures, the tightening of asylum laws, the deportation offensive and the federal government’s “security package” are a fundamental attack on human and basic rights.”
This, Seebrüecke said is worsening the already precarious living conditions and everyday life of refugees.
Instead of countering the growing strength of right-wing parties, it said “the traffic light parties are focussing on further disenfranchisement of people seeking protection, sealing off borders and the surveillance state.
“In doing so, they are further fuelling the spiral of hatred and agitation. We must stop this.
“We cannot accept these conditions and the progression towards an authoritarian state in which human rights no longer have a place.
“Join an action in your area or organise a demonstration yourself!”
