DCIM repatriates hundred of migrants of Egyptian,Algerian, Eritrean, Somali, Nigerian nationalities

The Department for Combating Illegal Migration, DCIM, has in recent time repatriated hundreds of Egyptian,Algerian, Eritrean Somali, and Nigerian migrants.

The DCIM, according to an update provided by Migrant Rescue Watch repatriated from Shahat Immigration Detention Center 58 #migrants of Egyptian nationality via Emsaed land border crossing. “In separate procedure 13 #migrants of Chadian and Sudanese nationalities were transferred to Benghazi for repatriation.”

On 19.09.24 , Migrant Rescue Watch said DCIM transferred from Qanfoudah Immigration Detention Center in Benghazi 75 #migrants including 34 women and 7 children of Algerian, Eritrean and Somali nationalities via Sirte to Tripoli for repatriation.

“In separate procedure 226 #migrants of Egyptian nationality were repatriated via Emsaed border crossing. The group including 152 #migrants transferred from Tripoli.”

“On 24.09.24 DCIM (Western Region) repatriated with IOM support over 100 #migrant women with children of Nigerian nationality via Mitiga International Airport in Tripoli.”

Migrant Rescue Watch later updated the figure to 187. It said “187 Nigerian #migrants returned safely from Libya to Lagos, Nigeria. The group comprised of 13 males, 139 females and 35 children.”
