Seventy two rescued off Qazahiyah, Qarabolli
A total of 72 migrants have been rescued off the coasts of Qazahiyah and Qarabolli, areas of Libya.
Twenty one people, according to Migrant Rescue Watch were rescued at Qazahiyah while 51 people were rescued at Qarabolli.
Migrant Rescue Watch said: “Zliten Marine Rescue Unit following report of a capsized boat rescued off the coast of Qazahiyah (Zliten) 21 #migrants of different nationalities. According to testimonies there were 35 #migrants including women on board.
“All rescued upon provision of humanitarian assistance were transferred to police custody. The search for missing and recovery of bodies is still ongoing.
“Libyan Coast Security PV “Wadi Kaam” (P-300) rescued off the coast of Qarabolli 51 #migrants including women & children of different nationalities. All disembarked in Tripoli and upon provision of humanitarian assistance were transferred to DCIM custody.”
