Sixty rescued from sinking rubber boat

Sixty people have been rescued from a sinking boat.

A release by Migrant Rescue Watch said the Marine Detachment (Counter-Terrorism Force) rescued the 60 migrants from a sinking rubber boat which departed from Abu Kammash area.

All survivors, according to Migrant Rescue Watch disembarked in Mars Dahla and upon provision of humanitarian assistance were transferred to local authorities.

Migrant Rescue Watch said “claims made by 🇩🇪 German #SeaWatch that the bodies were abandoned are false❗ The bodies were subsequently recovered & handed over in Mars Dahla port to Red Crescent (Zawiya Branch).”
