71 migrants rescued from a drifting boat off the coast of Qarabolli

A recent statement by Migrant Rescue Watch says the Libyan Coast Security PV “Wadi Mejenin” rescued off the coast of Qarabolli from a drifting boat 71 #migrants.

The rescued included women and children. All, it said disembarked safely in Tripoli.

“Upon provision of basic humanitarian and medical assistance #migrants were transferred to DCIM custody. Reported nationalities: Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Nigeria, Senegal, Sudan and Togo. ”

It noted that the DCIM in Derna arrested an Egyptian #migrant who has been previously deported (2019) and re-entered #Libya illegally again.

“The individual was handed over to DCIM Al-Tamimi Bureau in preparation of deportation.”

The DCIM, it added, repatriated from Tobruk Immigration Detention Center, 58 #migrants of Egyptian nationality via Emsaed land border crossing. “The groups comprised of security, illegal entry and 24 medical cases.”
