26 migrants arrested, woman, three children, 32 others repatriated
Twenty six migrants of Chadian nationality have been arrested by the Libyan authorities.
Migrant Rescue Watch which disclosed this also announced the repatriation of an Egyptian woman and her three children and another set of 32 Egyptians.
The statement by Migrant Rescue Watch said: “Police in Benghazi during security checks apprehended 26 undocumented #migrants of mainly Chadian nationality. All transferred to Benghazi Security Directorate pending DCIM notification.
“DCIM repatriated from Tobruk Immigration Detention Center 32 #migrants of Egyptian nationality via Emsaed land border crossing. The group was apprehended during joint op with 519th Battalion.
“DCIM repatriated a female of Egyptian nationality with 3 children via Benina Int. Airport in Benghazi. The family was apprehended in Tobruk during an attempted boat crossing.”
