UK Home Office gleefully announces detention of ‘failed’ asylum seekers

The United Kingdom Home Office has taken to its X handle to gladly announce the detention of people it described as failed asylum seeker.

The detainees are meant to be removed to Rwanda anytime soon.

This is coming after a Supreme Court judgement which described Rwanda as an unsafe country.

“We have started to detain failed asylum seekers for removal to Rwanda.”

The UK Home Office didn’t stop there as it went in to explain the Who, what and why for the action.

The information was contained on a jpeg document uploaded on its X handle and transcribed by us.

The transcript reads:

Our plan for failed asylum seekers

WHO
Failed asylum seekers are people with no right to Remain in the UK. They’ve had a claim for asylum refused. But some can’t be returned to their home country, because it is safe.

WHAT
We have begun detaining this group for relocation to Rwanda, a safe third country ready to accept them and support them to rebuild their lives.

WHY
This group have no legal status in the UK and without it cannot build a prosperous life here
