Germany is still deporting iranians and Afghans even when people back in those countries are still risking their lives for freedom.

Seebrüecke International a German organization that wants safe passage and an end to criminalisation of civil sea rescue made the allegation

With the upcoming tightening of the Common European Asylum System (CEAS), Seebrüecke said “the situation of FLINTA* on the move will only get worse.”

The organization in a detailed post said: “While people in Iran and Afghanistan are risking their lives for freedom every day, Germany is still deporting Iranians and Afghans. The current European asylum policy focuses exclusively on the defence against migration movements.

“FLINTA* (females, lesbians, inter* people, non-binary people, trans* people, agender people&people of other gender identities) in particular are massively affected by violence during&after their flight. But attention to these conflicts is rapidly fading in civil society.

“With the upcoming tightening of the Common European Asylum System (CEAS), the situation of FLINTA* on the move will only get worse.

“As Seebrücke, we stand in solidarity with all refugees and the global struggles against patriarchy, sexism and queer hostility.

“Whether in Tehran, Kabul or at the borders of Europe, in the deportation prisons or in the immigration authorities: The fight against patriarchal structures is feminist, intersectional and is being fought worldwide.

“Join the calls of feminist groups and take to the streets with them on 8 March. Form your own Seebrücken-FLINTA* blocs and stay loud!

“Women, life, freedom! Consistent ban on deportation and safe passage, now!”
