Kufra Security Directorate is worried about the influx of Sudanese, and other nationals into the city.

Kufra Security Directorate also decried lack of relevant response from international organizations.

The development is contained in a statement by Migrant Rescue Watch.

The statement reads: “Kufra Security Directorate held an emergency meeting of all security agencies to address the large influx of foreign nationals into the city, especially those from Sudan.

“During the meeting establishment of joint task force, identification of all foreigners & support to DCIM were discussed. – The lack of relevant response from international organizations and absence of official mechanisms to deal with the sudden influx forces private entrepreneurs in Kufra to act & provide basic sustenance (up to 2000 meals are served daily) to displaced Sudanese nationals. – “Humanitarian alarm in Kufra in Libya: thousands of displaced people fleeing from Sudan”.
