A boat carrying 45 people, 15 men, 13 women and 17 children arrived north west of Zoodochos Pigi monastery, cape Prason, Samos north east in the early hours of today, January 11, 2023, Aegean Boat Report has revealed.

They contacted Aegean Boat Report at first light and asked for assistance so that they could be taken to a camp and apply for international protection.

The group provided pictures, videos and location data that proved without any doubt that they were on Samos.

We provided them with necessary information so that they themselves could reach out to local authorities and organizations to get necessary assistance.

According to information we received from the group, they made contact, and the group was eventually found and transported to the RIC on Samos.

Numbers of arrivals have not been officially confirmed.

Kudos to all of those who, on a daily basis, do their utmost to fend for the rights of people at our borders!
