Libyan oil tanker ‘Anwaar Libya’ rescues 28 Syrian

Twenty migrants of Syrian nationality have been rescued  by Libyan oil tanker Anwaar Libya.

The people rescued include women and children.

Migrant Rescue Watch who disclosed this said: “Libyan oil tanker “ANWAAR LIBYA” rescued north of Qarabolli 28 #migrants including women and children of mainly Syrian nationality. All rescued will disembark in Tripoli.”

It also disclosed that Police in “Sorman arrested 6 #migrant females of Arab nationalities for ‘professional’ panhandling on public streets. The group used fake medical reports and minors to coerce money from citizens. All referred Sorman Security Directorate.”

Migrant Rescue Watch also shared information of how DCIM in Shahat during security checks arrested a #migrant of Nigerian nationality in possession of forged Libyan ID. “The individual entered Libya illegally 6 years ago. The case was referred to Public Prosecutor’s Office.”

It also noted that the Units of 51st Infantry Brigade following an investigation arrested 3 undocumented #migrants of sub-Saharan nationalities for selling illicit drugs (hashish) in Qarbolli & Tajoura. All referred to Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Control Dept. in Qarbolli.”
