NAPTIP raises awareness on human trafficking
The National Agency for Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons and other Related Matters, has advised Nigerians against turning their eyes away from human trafficking activities.
The agency, in a four-point message said:
• Stop turning a blind eye to suspicious activities or signs of trafficking; report any concerns to NAPTIP immediately.
• Stop the normalization of exploitation by promoting a culture of respect and equality.
• Stop assuming that trafficking only happens in certain places or to specific groups; it is a global issue that can affect anyone.
• Stop waiting for someone else to take action; every individual can contribute to the fight against human trafficking through awareness, prevention, and support for survivors.
