Security patrols intercept 100 migrants in Zuwara
No fewer than 100 migrants traveling in a wooden boat have been intercepted by security patrols.
The boat, according to Migrant Rescue Watch was intercepted off the coast of Zuwara, Libya.
“Coast Security patrols interdicted a wooden boat off the coast of Zuwara with ca. 100 #migrants of different nationalities.
“The boat attempted to reach the NGO #GeoBarents vessel that was waiting in the area only 26 nm from the coast.”
In another development, Migrant Rescue Watch said DCIM in Shahat repatriated via Emsaed land border crossing 16 undocumented #migrants of Egyptian nationality. “The individuals have entered #Libya illegally,” Migrant Rescue Watch said.
