Seebrüecke International, a German Non -Governmental Organization that wants safe passage and an end to criminalisation of civil sea rescue has raised the alarm over Interior Minister Nancy Faeser paper aimed making deportation very easy.

Seebrüecke International said: “Several months ago, the Federal Ministry of the Interior under Nancy Faeser wrote a discussion paper on the planned deportation offensive.

According to media reports, there was now a secret meeting on the issue between Scholz, Lindner and Habeck, in which they decided to bring the draft of the law to the departmental votes.

“Everything in this draft is aimed at being able to deport people more effectively. The rights of refugees are uncompromisingly subordinated to this goal and thus massively attacked.

The draft law provides that in addition to the rooms of the person affected by the deportation, the rooms and living space of other people in the same building may be searched, as well as lockers and mobile phones for the purpose of establishing identity.

In addition, the maximum duration of “Ausreisegewahrsam”, one variation of deportation detention, is to be increased from 10 to 28 days and the grounds for its application are to be extended.”

Last but not least, Seebrüecke International said: “deportations are no longer to be announced, even if the “Duldung” has been revoked, and deportations at night and residence requirements are to be tightened.

“Another point of the draft law is that refugees living in shared accommodation are to receive less money.”

The organization went on to say that: “We are appalled by these proposals! The trivialising vocabulary cannot hide the fact that it is about a tough deportation policy that the right-wingers of the republic have been licking their lips about for years.

“We call on the federal government to finally stop making AfD-style policies! Together for bridges instead of walls and against deportations! #StopDeportation”
