The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons and Other related Matters (NAPTIP), has listed Edo, Delta, and Lagos states as Nigeria’s human trafficking hotspots.

The message is part of the agency’s campaign aimed at sensitizing the citizens about the activities of human traffickers and their modus operandi.

Sharing information about the hotspots, NAPTIP asked: “Dis you know that Edo, Delta, and Lagos states are among the highest in trafficking cases? 📈

“These states, while known for their rich cultural heritage & bustling urban centers, unfortunately also harbor hidden networks of human trafficking.

“By knowing these hotspots & recognizing the signs, we can report suspicious activity, support victims, & work towards eradicating this heinous crime.
Awareness is the first step towards ending human trafficking.”
