Amy Pope sets top priorities ahead assumption of office
Amy Pope, the Director General – Elect of UN migration agency, the International Organsiation for Migration (IOM), rolled out her top priorities as she prepares to assume office.
Top on her priorities, she said , are, using data to predict displacement, showcasing IOM’s migration expertise, and implementing results-based budgeting.
“As I look towards my start as DG of @UNmigration, my top priorities are using data to predict displacement, showcasing IOM’s migration expertise, and implementing results-based budgeting. We must consider how we can achieve success through a results-based budgeting approach. We need to plan on using our resources across the organization to achieve specific, impactful outcomes.
“I look forward to working with my colleagues to make our vision a reality and enhance the lives of migrants and communities worldwide. Together, we can create a world that realizes the promise of migration.”
