Researcher decries fatalities on international waters
A researcher who goes by the name Jihed on Twitter, has decried the continuous loss of human lives on international waters.
Jihed’s concern is coming on the heels of the death of a baby and a woman Saturday.
20 people were involved in the fatal accident.
Condemning the rising number of fatalities on the sea, Jihed said: “New Tragedy Exposes Deadly Border Policies.
At 2 AM, Aug 12, 2023 , off #Gabes’ shores, a boat with 20 #Tunisian souls met a cruel fate.
“13 rescued, but a young infant and a 20-year-old were sacrificed to unforgiving seas. The search for the missing continues.”
“How many more must perish before we confront and dismantle the #European deadly border regimes in #Tunisia that force the innocent into peril?’Jihed asked rhetorically.
“Enough is enough!
