Refugees from crisis-torn Sudan have accused UNHCR officials of treating them inhumanly.

The refugees who are in Libya said UNHCR officials in the North African country, kicked them out of their gate and threatened them with guns.

A woman, in a video shared by Refugees In Libya  decried the cruelty of the UNHCR officials and called on the headquarters in Geneva to intervene.

The woman said in the said video translated in English (unedited) that: “We are on the road. If we go to the UNHCR, the UNHCR chases us  the Libyans have the right to chase us. But we are in front of the UNHCR .
Why do they send the government to us.  Why do they chase us. I want
to know and they registered us. Why did they register us . Geneva has
to send a message. If this messages reaches Geneva. Geneva we beg you
to see how UNHCR  does  with the people in Libya. Why? We are in front
of UNHCR gate but they kicked us out. It is our right. It is not
possible.

“A citizen or staff of UNHCR kicked us out. It is not a right
of the Libyan government to kick us out. So we are at the gate of the
UNHCR office but they kicked us out to the road. When we are under the
tree they   expelled us. Where can we go. We are not carrying luggage
with us and we are not carrying food. We are just carrying our worries
of a place to live. The UNHCR should find a place for us. We didn’t
come to this country to reside forever. We came because of problems
with our children on the road.  Look for a way and take  us somewhere.
What we worry about is why UNHCR chases us.  We have been registered
and they left us. They registered us and they chase us. Why? Where can
we go? I am a refugee. I need security and protection. I am a woman
and I need protection for myself from the UNHCR. You the people of
Geneva, when you heart  this message, talk to UNHCR of Libya. The
UNHCR of Libya Is not working properly. We are on the roads. We want
peace. We want security for our souls. I am a woman in danger  with
children on the  road. What can I do? I came to hand over myself to
you.”

She went to appeal to UNHCR in Geneva for help.  “The UNHCR of Geneva must find a solution, look for a solution
from today.  We stay here and they come and threaten us with guns.  We
are in front of UNHCR   and they sent the government to us.’

Refugees In Libya drew the attention of concerned viewers to the video when it said: “Listen to the testimonies of these women and children whose only open shelters were burnt down at the command of the UNHCR.

“In Tripoli, Libya , newly arrived refugees from the Sudan’s conflict suffers the unimaginable as the @UNHCRLibya kicks them here and there. We have sent… twitter.com/i Not protecting your refugees and provide them with basic needs in Libya is a human rights violation.

That’s it. That’s the shame on UNHCR, if it still act hostile towards refugees.”
