IOM renovates shelter for victims of trafficking in Nigeria

International Organization for Migration (IOM) has facilitated the renovation of a shelter for victims of human trafficking managed by the National Agency for Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP). 

The shelter is in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria.

 Announcing the gesture via its Twitter handle  IOMNigeria said:”Victims of trafficking deserve a safe and secure space where they can receive comprehensive support to aid their recovery and reintegration into society.

“Through funding from @NLinNigeria, IOM facilitated the renovation of @NAPTIP shelter in Abuja to provide a secure and supportive environment for survivors to recover from their traumatic experiences, receive medical care, counselling, legal assistance, and reintegration services.”
