Many killed in offensive crackdown in Tobruk, Libya
Offensive crackdown in Tobruk, Libya, has left many people dead.
Refugees In Libya via its Twitter handle @RefugeesinLibya said dozens were wounded and over 2400 arbitrarily detained.
“The Libya National Army in Benghazi, Libya, led by Haftar launched a violent crackdown on refugees and immigrants workers in Tobruok and around Emsaed border area with Egypt.
Over 2400 have been forcibly arrested and detained so far.
They homes crashed and all their possessions were destroyed and seized.
“This violent human rights violations came after Haftar’s visit to Rome a few weeks ago to discuss the migration business with the
@GiorgiaMeloni government.
“The Italian government is creating problems for the people on the ground and yet they reject them at their borders, a similar incident happened in Tunisia a few months ago when Meloni toured the North African countries and as a result, Tunisia became unsafe for the refugees and immigrants who have been peacefully living in the region.”
Refugees and immigrants, according to the post have become a business model for both the politicians and the mafia network and we denounce this in the strongest term.
“They are rounded and treated like subhumans, loaded into lorries like merchandise, children, women, elderly people and men of all kinds are treated in every unimaginable inhumane treatment ever.
“We call for the immediate release of these people, their possessions returned to them and those who succumbed injuries to be treated.”
