No news about 224 people who left Gambia, Morocco on February 14, 23- Alarm Phone
Alarm Phone, an organization that provides independent support for people crossing the Mediterranean Sea to the EU has expressed worries about 224 people who left Gambia and Morocco between February 14 and 23.
The organisation said there has been no information about their whereabouts since and called for active search and rescue operation to find them.
In separate posts on its X handle few hours ago, Alarm Phone said: “🆘 in the #Atlantic! 203 people left #Gambia on 14 February. Since then, there has been no news from the boat. The authorities have been alerted and we demand an active search and rescue operation so that they can be found quickly!”
In another post, Alarm Phone said: “🆘 in the Atlantic! 21 people left Morocco on the 23rd of February. We have no news from them and the weather got worse since their departure. The authorities are alerted, and we demand an active search and rescue operation so that they can be found quickly!”
