DCIM apprehends, deports migrants of different nationalities in one week
The Department for Combating Illegal Migration (DCIM) Libya, has apprehended and deported large number of migrants of different nationalities between April 19 and 25.
This is according to information sourced from the X account of Migrant Rescue Watch.
Below is the timeline of the operations.
#Libya 23.04.25 – DCIM repatriated from Al-Qubba Immigration Detention Center 14 #migrants of Egyptian nationality via Emsaed land border crossing.
#Libya 23.04.25 – DCIM (Southern Branch) patrols during security ops apprehended a number of undocumented #migrants in areas btw Ash Shwayrif and Al-Shati. All transferred to Brak Al-Shati Immigration Detention Center for legal action.
23.04.25 – DCIM transferred from Tobruk Immigration Detention Center to Qanfoudah IDC in Benghazi 1 Nigerian and 28 Bangladeshi #migrants for repatriation.
20.04.25 – DCIM repatriated from Kufra Immigration Detention and Deportation Center 75 #migrants of Sudanese nationality via land border crossing. The group incl. security restriction and medical cases.
20.04.25 – DCIM repatriated from Qanfoudah Immigration Detention Center in Banghazi 76 #migrants of Egyptian nationality via Emsaed land border crossing.
19.04.25 – DCIM repatriated 3 Bangladeshi and 13 Nigerian #migrants via Benina International Airport.
In a separate procedure, DCIM repatriated from Tobruk IDC 21 #migrants of Egyptian nationality via Emsaed land border crossing.
19.04.25 – DCIM transferred from Al-Marj to
Qanfoudah Immigration Detention Center in Benghazi 13 #migrants of Chadian, Egyptian and Sudanese nationalities for repatriation. The group incl. medical cases.
19.04.25 – DCIM transferred from Sirte to Ajdabiya Immigration Detention Center 59 #migrants of Chadian, Egyptian and Sudanese nationalities for repatriation. Among the group were security restrictions, judicial deportation orders (22) and medical cases.
19.04.25 – DCIM transferred from Qanfoudah Immigration Detention Center in Benghazi to Kufra Immigration Detention and Deportation Center 200 #migrants of Chadian and Sudanese nationalities for repatriation. The group incl. medical & judicial deportation order cases.
