Alarmephone Sahara calls for help as Tunisian police deport 42 migrants into desert
A group of 42 migrants have been deported into the desert on the Tunisian-Algerian border by the Tunisian police in recent days, a post by Alarmephone Sahara (APS) says.
According to APS, “at least 15 people from this group are still wandering around in the area unprotected and without food and water!”
Some of the deportees, APS said are in need of urgent medical help. “We are urgently appealing to the @UNHCR, the @IOM and the authorities responsible to launch an evacuation mission without any delay! Deported people must not be abandoned to die in the desert! #migrantlivesmatter”
