UK removes 53 people, tackles burglary menace
The United Kingdom has continued its quest of reducing the number of immigrants in the country.
Today, the Home Office announced that the authorities removed 53 people. Over 70 people had earlier been removed this month.
The Home Office said: “Today we removed 53 more people with no right to be in the UK, on one of our regular returns flights.
This included foreign criminals with combined prison sentences of more than 96 years – for convictions including drug offences, manslaughter and violent crime.”
In addition to removing people it terms illegal immigrants, the Home Office also told of the UK government’s commitment to addressing the menace of burglary.
It said: “Home is the last place you should feel unsafe. We have put more police on our streets to tackle crime and home burglaries are down by 56% since 2010.
“When the public dial 999, they expect action. We are delivering exactly that.”
