Seebrücke protests against obstruction of civilian sea rescue
Seebrücke International has protested against obstruction of civilian sea rescue.
The organization said: “We protested against the obstruction of civilian sea rescue by assigning distant ports and arresting ships as well as for the observance of human rights.
“We accompanied all of this online with hashtags such as #WissenWillsWissen, #PlacesOfIsolation, #KeineKompromisse, #StopGEAS, #DontForgetAfghanistan and #FreeTheShips.
“We have written letters and postcards, organized film screenings and readings, painted posters, placed signposts in cities, started petitions, provided information at information stands, forged alliances and much more.Nationally and locally, we stand resolutely for a fair migration policy based on human rights.
“In 2024, we will continue to fight for human rights, freedom of movement, the right to come and stay, sea rescue and safe escape routes. We oppose the EU’s deadly isolationist policy, Fortress Europe, the criminalization of flight, sea rescue and solidarity, the dismantling of human rights, racism, anti-Semitism and fascism! Together we can #MakeChangePossible. We are all the sea bridge!”
