Germany bent on pushing through new deportation law
Germany is bent on pushing through its new deportation law, a statement by Seebrüecke International has said.
The statement said the German authorities are trying to push the law ” as quickly as possible.
“The federal government is trying to push through its new deportation law, which reads like a “Hau-Ab-Gesetz 2.0”, as quickly as possible.
“However, they were given a deadline of only two days by the Federal Ministry of the Interior. A careful analysis and comment on a draft law is, as Pro Asyl makes clear, not adequately possible in this time,” the statement began.
Seebrüecke International strongly holds that it is a scandal to push through a law that provides for far-reaching attacks on the fundamental rights of refugees at such an accelerated pace!
It said: “Pro Asyl writes in its statement that there are reservations against the planned changes with regard to fundamental rights as well as European and international law.
“We find it outrageous that organisations that in their daily counselling practice are in direct contact with the people concerned or fight for their rights are de facto excluded from the legislative process because of this deadline.”
The deportation law, according to the statement threatens to become a new milestone in the implementation of the “deportation offensive” and the denial of rights to people threatened with deportation and must be stopped!
“Let us stand in solidarity with struggles for the right to stay and continue to fight for freedom of movement for all.”
