Fifty two people from Benghazi distressed
Fifty two people who departed from Benghazi are reportedly stranded on international waters off Libya.
AlarmPhone disclosed this yesterday while calling for help for the distressed people.
“A group of ~52 people in distress in International waters off #Libya! They departed from #Bengazi and are asking for urgent rescue.
“They report heavy rain and fear for their lives. Authorities are alerted and we demand immediate rescue to a place of safety,” AlarmPhone said.
Alarmphone added that ‘”We are still in contact with the ~52 people in distress, who survived the night without rescue and are still fearing for their lives. They said their engine has stopped and they are now drifting.
The organisation said it had kept alerting the authorities in vain, adding that the distressed people needed to be rescued before it is too late.
